What We Collect on This Website

We collect basic technical information, such as browser type and pages visited, through standard cookies. This helps us keep the site working and understand which resources help most.

We also keep anything you choose to send us. For example, if you contact us or subscribe to updates, we keep your name, email, and message so we can respond.

Donation information is processed by Zeffy. We receive confirmation of your gift but never see or store your card or bank numbers.

In the SELF, INC. Life Program App

If you create an account, we may collect your display name, email address, and login credentials. We may also collect anything you enter into the app’s tools, including:

  1. assessment answers
  2. health tracker entries for fasting, exercise, water, medications, and food
  3. mood check-ins
  4. journal and gratitude entries
  5. reframed thoughts
  6. vision boards
  7. community posts or kudos you choose to share

Subscription information for paid tiers is processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card numbers.

In the Store

Handbook orders are fulfilled through BookBaby, and merchandise orders are fulfilled through Zeffy. Those providers handle your order and payment details under their own privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the ministry and the app — to run your account, keep your data synced, process donations and orders, respond to you, and improve our resources.

If you post publicly in community spaces, such as the Kudos Board, that content is visible to other members by your choice.

What We Never Do

We never sell your personal information.

We do not share your private app entries — your assessments, journals, health logs, or thoughts — with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party, except if required by law or to protect someone’s safety.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies for basic functionality, such as remembering preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Third-Party Services

Some parts of our ecosystem run through trusted providers, including:

  1. Zeffy for donations and merchandise
  2. BookBaby for handbook orders
  3. Our app payment processor

When you use those services, their privacy policies apply. Embedded videos, such as YouTube reflections, are subject to YouTube’s policies.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — secure connections, limited access, and careful handling. No system is completely immune from risk, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your app account.

Your Rights and Choices

You are in control of your information. In the app, you can reset your data by choosing “Start over,” or you can delete your account entirely from the Account & Sync screen.

Anytime, you can email support@thrivinginrecovery.org to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond promptly.

Children

Our resources are intended for adults seeking mental-health recovery support. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a revised date. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
